Stamp issued on the 23rd of October 1974 to commemorate the 8th FAO Regional Conference for Africa held in Rose Hill (Mauritius) between the 1st and the 17th of August 1974.
FAO stands for Food and Agriculture Organization and is an organization part of the ONU that leads international effort to defeat hunger in the world.
The stamp pictures a womand milking a cow and the emblem of the FAO with its motto Fiat Pane (Let there be bread).

Le timbre représente une femme qui trait une vache ainsi que le logo de la FAO avec sa devise Fiat Pane (Que le pain fût).
